The BIBLIOTECA DE ARTISTAS DE LAS COMUNIDADES EUROPEAS
(B.A.C.E.) (EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES ARTISTS
LIBRARY) is an editorial company
founded in Barcelona (Spain) in 1986, dedicated to publish and
distribute books related to the Arts.
The first book was dedicated to Luis Bolumar, a renowned painter
from Castellon (Spain) published in 1986. It was distributed to
galleries, museums, libraries and art collectors. Mr. Bolumar signed
and numbered 50 copies adding an original drawing. He sold the
50 copies obtaining an amount to cover the publication.
Later, in 1991, when The Florida Museum of Hispanic and Latin American
Art was founded in Miami, Florida, the publisher and the non profit
organization established a permanent collaboration in order to
print books with 20 selected artists.
These copies have been distributed absolutely free to galleries,
museums, libraries, art collectors and communications media specially
in Europe. All editions have been presented and distributed at
important international art fairs.
Currently, the publisher is represented worldwide by the MUSEUM
OF THE AMERICAS, in Doral, Florida, United Sates.
